Fees To Set Up A Pre-paid Funeral Trust
There is an establishment fee of $150, payable when you apply. GST is not payable. An annual management fee is deducted from the earnings of your trust fund. The maximum this can be is 1.1 per cent per annum, though it is 0.7 per cent as at 1 September 2008. There are no fees for the distribution of the funds to the funeral home or payment of any excess to your estate administrators.
